Pervasive: ODBC Driver Installation

To install the ODBC driver for Pervasive, please follow the steps below:

• Download Pervasive from the Pervasive official webite

• Click “Next” button on the “Welcome” page:

• Here you will need to accept the license agreement by clicking “Yes” button

• Select “Custom” type of setup and click “Next”

• Select the installation directory and click “Next”.

• Select the component that will be installed on the local machine and click “Next”.

• Select the program folder and click “Next”.

• Click “Install” button and wait for the installation process is finished.

• Click “Finish” button to complete this setup.

• After the installation process, the HTML Help document will appear, please close it.

• Then in the opened window select run transactional tests and click “Next”.

• As soon as transactional testing process is finished, please go “Next”:

• Then we need to test Relational Engine. Please, provide the Machine Name, Engine DSN and go “Next”:

• When Relational Engine testing process is finished, please move “Next”:

• And finish the installation process by clicking “Finish” button:

As soon as the client is installed, the “32-bit ODBC Data Source Administrator” must be updated with the appropriate driver (If you are using 64-bit version of Windows, you can find the 32-bit “ODBC Data Source Administrator” in this directory: c:\Windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe):

If the appropriate driver is there, the installation is complete.
