Supported Conversions

Ispirer Toolkit supports the conversion of most programming technologies, such as Delphi, PowerBuilder, COBOL, Informix 4GL, Progress 4GL, C/C++, Pascal, Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, ASP, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, RPG, PL/I. The software also supports conversion of database business logic, namely Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, Sybase T-SQL.

As for the target platforms, Ispirer offers .NET and Java. As a result, a desktop or a web application can be created. JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS and ReactJS can be used for web applications. More information about application conversion can be found here: https://www.ispirer.com/application-conversion.

Besides database and application conversion, Ispirer Toolkit performs comprehensive automatic conversion of embedded SQL statements and database APIs in different applications. With Ispirer Toolkit there is no need to extract SQL statements from application code and convert them separately. The tool completes the entire migration process internally. Ispirer offers its Toolkit and Services for the following programming languages: Delphi, PowerBuilder, COBOL, C/C++, Java, C#, VB.NET, VB and others.

To work properly with some databases, many C/C++ applications use their native APIs. Thus, converting SQL statements is not enough; the API needs to be replaced as well. Ispirer Toolkit can migrate Pro*C, CT-LIB, ECPG, MySQL API, ODBC, etc. If the source technology has ODBC and it works with the target database, it can be remained unchanged. More information about Embedded SQL and database API conversion can be found here: https://www.ispirer.com/embedded-sql-database-api.

In case you are interested in migrating Embedded SQL in Java, more information you can find here: Embedded SQL in Java
