InterBase ODBC Driver Installation

Here is a step by step guide on how to install the ODBC driver for InterBase.

Download the InterBase ODBC Driver from the Embarcadero official website. You need to choose the appropriate version and download it.

• Run the ib64_install.exe on the machine where you will perform database migration.

• Go through the pages of Wizard by clicking “Next”:

• In “Embarcadero Product Registration” press on button “Advanced»” and close the window.

• Run Keygen\Keygen.exe as administrator:

• Select radiobutton “Server” and press on button “Patch IB”:

• Open “License Manager”:

• Verify that license is set(if not - press on button “Save SLIP” in Keygen and try to “Import” it as file):

• Close the Interbase Wizard tool:

• Run install_windows.exe:

• Select the ODBC driver:

• Press on button “Yes”:

• Open the “Interbase Server Manager”:

• Press on button “Start” to start Server:

As soon as the client is installed, the “ODBC Data Source Administrator” must be updated with the appropriate driver (If you are using the 64-bit version of Windows, you can find the 32-bit “ODBC Data Source Administrator” in this directory: C:\Windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe):
