Ispirer Express Converter
Ispirer Express Converter is an easy-to-use migration tool designed to deliver quick conversion results for any source code with minimal configuration effort.
Upon the first launch of the tool, a new tab named “Quick” is automatically created, and the program interface is displayed as follows:
Next, you need to specify your source technology and the target technology for the conversion process. Make sure to input them in the corresponding “Source” and “Target” fields:
Following that, insert the code you want to convert into the left pane and click the “Convert” button:
Once you click the “Convert” button, the conversion process will start, and the results will be displayed in the right pane. Information about the conversion process will be displayed in the “Output” pane.
To view the conversion log in a separate window, click the “Log…” button.
To retrieve the physical files of the conversion results, click the “Results…” button. If the “Trace Mode” option is enabled, you can view the log file (sqlways.log) and the trace file (sqlways.trc) here as well.
Creating a New Conversion Project
Go to the “FILE” menu and select “New Conversion” or use the Ctrl+Q keyboard shortcut. A new tab named “Quick*” will be created in the editor.
Selecting Existing Files for Conversion
Click the “Open File…” button, or select “FILE” → “Open File” from the menu.
In the window that opens, select the files you want to convert using the “Add All”, “Add Selected”, “Remove All”, and “Remove Selected” buttons, then click “Select”.
Once you’ve made your selections, the files will be displayed in the source code pane of Ispirer Express Converter.
Running Conversion in Trace Mode
To run the conversion in trace mode, click the “Trace Mode” button to enable it, and then start the conversion.
A trace file with detailed conversion information will be generated. View this file by clicking the “Trace…” button.
Setting Additional Options
Advanced users can configure default conversion options by clicking the “Options…” button. This action will open an ini file with the settings in the editor. The complete list of supported options, their values, and usage examples can be found in the sqlways.ini file sections description.
